A free Mega Medical camp was organized by Dadi Veerunaidu College NSS units at Venkupalem and Thagrampudi Villages, Anakapalli Mandal on Wednesday. About 400 patients from adjoining villages such as sitanagraram, Sundharyyapeta , Attchiyyapeta , Jaganadhapuram , Mettapalem with various ailments took consultation and treatment from doctors at the camp.

Chief Guests: Dr. K. Vishnu Murthy Garu chairman Vivekanandha Charitable trust, Dr. K. Satyavathi Garu and their Team, Sri K.Ramesh Principal, Smt Ramulamma Garu Sarpanch, Sri Applaraju M.P.T.C, Sri S.R.Zameer & K.Rajesh NSS Program Officer participated in the program. In the camp, proper medical treatment of the people of the adopted village and the nearby area was done and remedial measures were provided, all free of cost, including the basic medicines required for an early recovery.

 NSS volunteers were given the task of taking down the details of the people who came for this health check-up. (List of the same has been enclosed/ uploaded) and guide the people for the same. A Blood Pressure (BP) check was performed on every patient. After that, they were sent to their respective doctors where they were given the right directions regarding their health. The three doctors carefully listened to the problems the patients were facing and provided an appropriate solution to curb it. The majority of the people were suffering from knee pain, swelling, and high/low B.P.

This is a prime example of how the community can be served appropriately if we are interested. We need not be high-profiled citizens to help society change. It is the willingness and enthusiasm which comes out from within that encourages you to work for the betterment of others.
