AIDS DAY RALLY

Stating that citizens and the youth have a collective responsibility towards increasing awareness on HIV/AIDS prevention, students took out a rally on AIDS day.  Dadi Veerunaidu College NSS Unit organized AIDS Rally and Manavaharam near 4 Roads Junction, Anakapalle. K.Ramesh, Principal of D.V.N. College, flagged off the rally at the College in which participants held placards that called for a united struggle to create awareness among people to prevent AIDS. The placards stated that the disease was not a problem of an individual, but a problem of society and it could be resolved by fighting together. The participants were wearing red ribbons, the global symbol for solidarity with HIV-positive people and those living with AIDS.

AWARENESS RALLY ON ECO-FRIENDLY GANESHA

A rally to promote Ganesh Chaturthi was organized by Dadi Veerunaidu College NSS Units. The rally began from the college campus covering several areas from the main road to ring road, students displayed several placards and colourful posters to create awareness on clay Ganesha idols, and the students highlighted the hazards caused to the environment because of the chemicals used in making and decorating idols. Finally, K.Ramesh, Principal extended his gratitude to the honorary Chairman Sri Dadi Ratnakar. Staff and students participated in this program.
