Welcome To Dadi Veerunaidu College

Krishnastami

Culture Education is an essential aspect of our curriculum. Understanding this importance and glorifying Indian traditions with the young generation, Dadi Veerunaidu College celebrates Janmashtami every year. Janmashtami also was known as Gokul Ashtami is an annual Hindu festival. It is celebrated as the birthday of Krishna. Krishna is the eighth avatar of Vishnu. It is observed in the month of Bhadrapada which overlaps with August and September

DVN Cultural Committee organized a fancy dress competition where girls are dressed up as Radha and boys as Sri Krishna. It is followed by a mesmerizing dance performance and a couple of group songs by students dedicated to Sri Krishna. The students dressed up as Radha and Krishna, give a traditional touch to the entire celebration. There will be a Handi hanging at the centre of the courtyard and Radha-Krishna pairs will dance around it. At the end of the program, the Handi will be beaten by the Krishna\'s and a prize is allotted to the one who hits the Handi.
