NSS

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of Government of India, The sole aim of the NSS is to provide hands on experience to young students in delivering community service. The Two NSS Units of Dadi Veerunaidu College has organized a special camp in two adopted villages named Pisinikada and kasimkota villages.

On 14th February 2020, the camp started by 9.00 am and the dignitaries of the camp guided the volunteers about the importance of the Service scheme. With a formal inauguration program at Kasimkota village,  Sk. Roshan Zameer, Korni Rajesh NSS Programme Officers, welcomed the dignitaries. Chairman Sri Dadi Ratnakar and Sri Koribilli Ramesh, Principal addressed the NSS volunteers explained the aims and objectives of NSS volunteers in the special camp. Sri M.Himagiri, Town Sub- Inspector, Sri M.Seshubabu MRO, Sri Koribilli Ramesh, Principal Dadi Veerunaidu College, Smt A. Laxmi, Panchayathi  Secretary, and others were present on this occasion. During these 7 days of camp, NSS volunteers enacted street plays on important issues like Hand Hygiene, alcohol and tobacco ill effects, AIDS prevention measures and school dropouts.
